Theatre Rental FAQ’s

What are the booking requirements? All renters must attend an onsite visit, provide proof of identity, review and sign necessary paperwork. For shows and performances, renter must carry general liability insurance.

What is the capacity? 40-50 seated guests.

What are the permitted uses of the theatre? Special events (non-theatrical) birthday parties, theatre performances, staged readings, dance, music videos, photography, stand-up/improv/sketch shows, classes and workshops.

Are there any restrictions for renting the facility? We ask that all events be in accordance with our mission and policy and procedures which can be found here Policy and Procedures and here Our Mission. Any shows outside of that realm should be clearly stated in any marketing material i.e. Blue Shows.

What forms of payment do you accept? Most scheduling payments are handled via Skedda. Renter must have a valid credit card to place on file through the app.

What is the cancellation policy?  Cancellations must be made via app 24 hours in advance.

What hours is the space available for rent? Sunday thru Thursday 9 AM-10 PM and Friday-Saturday 9 AM - 11 PM (depending on availability). See link to calendar above.

Do you provide staffing during performances? We provide one personnel for shows/events to assist with set up/break down and front of house. Renter may hire additional SCP personnel at a rate of $20 per hour per personnel. Renter must provide or hire tech personnel for any advanced tech beyond basic wash/lights up/blackout.

Does the theatre provide any equipment? Yes.

  1. 40 people plus 15 folding chairs

  2. (2) 6ft tables and 1 card table

  3. (1) stage area (10ftx8ft) with stage curtains, a backstage area, lobby, outdoor patio and concession stand 

  4. Keurig coffee, ice machine and popcorn machine

  5. dry erase board with markers

  6. copy machine and printer

    Tech:

  7. DMX512 light board with basic wash stage lighting set-up includes (7) RGB lights, (6) Mini Cob Par Lights and (1) 200W Cob Par Light (overhead stage lights)

  8. Rockville PA system which includes 2 speakers, 4 Bluetooth microphones, 2 receivers, 1 wired microphone (all with stands)

  9. Projector and screen (16:9 or 110 inches)

  10. 3 smart tv’s

  11. Sound mixer

  12. Canon 4k camera 

  13. 2 walkie talkies

  14. Show.Cue.Systems (Tech System)

  15. HP Computer 

What about marketing materials and ticketing? You are responsible for marketing and promoting your show/event, develop marketing material, ticketing etc.
